Instantly Available PC System Power Delivery Requirements and Recommendations (Power Supply '98) Specification

System-wide architectural enhancements in PC power management technology have mandated a new generation of power supplies. Power Supply '98 defines a low-cost power supply that delivers the features required to achieve the full benefits of the new Instantly Available PC power management architecture. The key new features are: suspend to RAM support, increased standby power to support system wake-up devices and increased efficiency to support emerging regulatory standards.
